Today on the 17th February 2011,

at Penang Esplanade from 4.00pm - 11.00pm tonight..

this event organize by, Penang State Government and Astro..

'Chap Goh Meh' (the 15th Night of Chinese New Year) celebration,

this occasion signifies the first full moon of the new year..

and on this very day, as a part of the tradition,

all the single ladies and women will gather together to throw

or toss tangerines and oranges into the sea,

in hope that their 'Mr. Right' would pick it up,

while wishing for a good husband too..

They have several cultural performances to lighten up the celebration,

and that including a Baba and Nyonya performance..

'Chap Goh Meh' also known as Chinese Valentine's Day,

Is a time for those who are singles to come together,

not only for this celebration, and also to search for their soul mates..

Usually the 15th day of Chinese New Year is celebrated splendidly with joy,

to mark as the end of this festive season.. :)

There will be fireworks at 10.45pm, fireworks sponsor by

Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce,
