Malaysia 2nd Beatbox Championship and Showdown Street Fest!

Music and dance is always part of my life,

something that I have passion and in love with..

but early this year, due to some influences,

I'm sort of like learning and practicing beatbox..

Maybe this is a trend nowadays, there are so many new born

beatboxers, other than those I've known..

but one of the reasons why i started beatbox because

it is special and unique in some ways..

beatbox can be said as a new performing art

that may required some skills of you by using only

your mouth to created all sort of sounds..

Basically it starts with the sounds of percussion instrument

and you can make it more interesting by putting in

many other beats to create a combination of different

sounds mixed up together, just with the mouth..

Okay now, here's the main point why I blog..

This coming Saturday on the 09/10/10, it is the

'2nd Malaysian Beatbox Championship!'

it's held in conjunction with the 3rd Indie Youth Fest 2010!

If you are interested to know who will be the Champion this year,

do drop by at Timesquare KL to witness what a human's mouth

is capable of other than eating and drinking..

Floor Fever and many more..

'Are You Game' t-shirts will be ON SALE together with

'Showdown Streetfest' t-shirts at the Showdown Street Fest

for only RM29.90!

T-shirts are limited so it will be selling at first come, first serve basic,

and they are only available at the event so make sure you get to grab it first!

Other than that, if you feel like showing off your breakdancing skills,

there will be a 3 on 3 B-Boy battle at 11am and the registration is FREE!

First Prize is RM600 and goodies,

Second Prize is RM300 and goodies,

what a great deal, so why not? just go ahead, show them what you got

and start battling! this is how we do it, bring it out to the street! yeah..

Beside all the above,

-They have this street dance workshops at 2-5pm,

focusing on 'house', breakdance and 'nu skool'..

the trainers are Dennis Yin, Bboy Mahmud and Projensit Kundu..

-They also have Graffiti Art Workshop and Competition at 11am..

registration is FREE and trainers are graffiti artistes from PHBKLK..

-DJ workshop and DJ competition also at 11am, FREE registration

and the trainer is DJ Krate from MIXOLOGY DJ Academy..

-MC workshop and MC battle will be at 4pm, FREE registration too..

trainer is MC Vandal from TheMoveMINT..

-There will be a Career Talk on 'Hip Hop 4 Life' at 1.30pm..

the speakers are Norman(KRU), Joe Flizzow, Alam and Award winning

A Movie at TGV...

On the first weekend of June,
which is on Saturday, the 5th,
went to watch a movie named 'Killers'!together with my friend Royblin,
he's here for a business trip
all the way from Penang,
so we meet up at Damansara and we watched
at TGV 1 Utama after dinner..this is his very first time watching in this cinema..
whoot whoot!
I watched once with my aunt,
that's my first time..
second time during my internship at 8TV..

the movie's tickets!

and we met 'Iron Man'..Haha!
Too bad, it's not the real Iron Man..
the real one is much taller and muscular than this one..
but they are good at preparing the costume!
just ignore the red-shirt guy..
I know......LOL!

Sorry for not updating during the past week,
I was busy practicing dance and prepared a performance
together with my partner for a competition..
Finally everything is over all.. and we did a great job!

60 Earth Hour, It's today!!!

Your light switch is your vote!

People, NO matter which part of the world are you livin' in, no matter where you are, let's switch off our lights tonight for ONE hour!

Just for that one hour, from 8.30pm - 9.30pm, together we shall save our planet earth, the earth that meant everything to us!

*Read my previous post to know more about Earth Hour and what can we do during the time we switch off the lights.

This is one thing, the wristband that glow in dark, which is given by one of my colleague during my internship at 8tv. Well, I like the wristband. It's special, hardly get one which can glow in dark. Somehow, it can shows and tells people that I am supporting Earth Hour and I am part of it! hehe..

My Prayer for Today and Everyday...

Life is getting hectic here...
things changed, people changed...
friends can be foes, foes can be friends...
things are not as usual, things can happened just in a sudden...
why it's happening...?
nobody could answer me, neither I...
what I can do, what I can trust, is within me...
I am the one who must decide which is right or wrong...
I can't stop things from happening...
it's happening and it will keep on going and moving on...
I chose to be here, I decide the way that I am 'walking' now...
There's no way to look back other than moving forward...
I trust in the Lord Jesus Christ...
I pray very hard, everyday...

please show me the way...
bring me back on track and teach me what to do...
God, make me the Head but not the tail...

Back to work again...

Last Thursday, on the 4th day of Chinese New Year, I came back to KL working again.. although it's a little bit fast and sad for me to leave my CNY's mood away and start working again, but then it's good to be back because my parents followed me down with my uncle and his family for a function but then they went back already on Sat.. somehow, I hope that my angpau won't cut down because I am back to work.. haha!
okay, nothing much to say here, just hope that all of you stay happy and enjoy till the fullest, although this CNY a little bit down, perhaps it's in the month Jan, too fast and also due to economy crisis, so...... okay, I am doing great here so far, you guys in Penang, especially Leo Club of Penang City's members, bad laa you guys, enjoy without me, but I guess you all have lots of fun there.. keep me in touch by photos ya..haha!

My second week in 8tv...

People!!! Alright, this is my second week here and I am doing quite well, I mean, so far so GOOD...! Other than the difficulty that I have to face everyday while doing my work, but still, I have to face it with the toughest and strongest heart as well as determinations because this job is 'Not Play Play' like what people used to say.. haha! Because it's LIVE man! Quickie is LIVE! Okay, I hope to do better and better as I stay longer here with the Quickie, 8tv!!!
Sorry guys if I didn't update my blog, but for sure I will show you guys more pics and stuffs once I get back in Penang... First thing first, because I don't have a laptop and I couldn't find the nearest internet cafe here, so basically, if I want to blog, I have to use the office's computer and when I am free to blog as well.. Most of the time, we have a lot of stuffs to do.. But sometime, you can be free as well but still, it's busy!!!
I will keep you guys update soon, no worries ya...okay? LOL! But first, I have to get back to work now.. take care everyone! See you guys in CNY!

I am with the 8tv Quickie...

Hello people.. i am writing this title, using one of my senior's computer, sitting on his desk in the 8tv's office of the Quickie.. LOL! Well, I am happy to be here, doing my internship here with them after the Ultimate Prom Nite(UPN).. Today, this is my second day here with them, basically I had started my job since the first day and I did the editing with the senior as well as the live production..
So, I've to work night shift until 12am after the Quickie.. so guys, if you want to find out more on what am I doing here, stay tune on 8tv everyday from 9.30pm onwards, there will be a short one first.. then at 11.30pm or maybe sometime it will be later than 11.30pm, it's just a 15mins thingy and you should watch it, it's fun!
Somehow, you can call in to answer some simple questions and win some extremely cool prizes! Okay guys, I've do stop now, if not I might kena marah later.. haha! catch up with you guys soon, will bring more updates as well..
