Life is getting hectic here...

What began as a campaign to get 'Sydneysiders' to turn their lights off, has grown to become one of the world’s biggest climate change initiatives. In 2009, at 8.30pm on March 28, people around the world will turn their lights off for one hour – Earth Hour. We’re aiming to reach one billion people, more than 1000 cities, all joining together in a global effort to show that its possible to take action on global warming.

Earth Hour started in 2007 in Sydney, Australia with 2.2 million homes and businesses turning their lights off for one hour. Only a year later and this event had become a global sustainability movement with up to 50 million people across 35 countries participating. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square, all stood in darkness, as symbols of hope for a cause that grows more urgent by the hour.

Earth Hour 2009 is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community. A call to stand up, to take responsibility and to get involved in working towards a sustainable future. Iconic buildings and landmarks from Europe to The Americas will stand in darkness. People across the world will turn off their lights and join together in creating the vital conversation about the future of our precious planet.

Over 64 countries and territories are participating in Earth Hour 2009. This number grows every day as people realize how such a simple act, can have such a profound result in affecting change.

Earth Hour is a message of hope and a message of action. Everyone can make a difference.

Back to work again...

Last Thursday, on the 4th day of Chinese New Year, I came back to KL working again.. although it's a little bit fast and sad for me to leave my CNY's mood away and start working again, but then it's good to be back because my parents followed me down with my uncle and his family for a function but then they went back already on Sat.. somehow, I hope that my angpau won't cut down because I am back to work.. haha!
okay, nothing much to say here, just hope that all of you stay happy and enjoy till the fullest, although this CNY a little bit down, perhaps it's in the month Jan, too fast and also due to economy crisis, so...... okay, I am doing great here so far, you guys in Penang, especially Leo Club of Penang City's members, bad laa you guys, enjoy without me, but I guess you all have lots of fun there.. keep me in touch by photos ya..haha!

Happy Chinese New Year!!!

Hooray! I am back in Penang for Chinese New Year! Not because of angpau, because I want to eat reunion dinner with my family and relatives.. I couldn't overwhelm my feeling when I get to know bout it, I am too excited to go home.. Especially my grandma in Penang, she is overwrought when she knows that I can come back for CNY..

This is the second day of CNY and I am doing great so far.. Can't wait to hang out with friends, but then I miss 8tv's life tho.. Im not a working freak but to be honest, I really enjoyed myself while working there.. No matter what, home always gave me the most comfortable feeling, maybe you can say that I am homesick or something, Still, the feeling of being home is at the top of the world than anything! Haha..

I am happy to meet a few friends, I even met some friends which I don't expected and haven't met for long.. Last Night, the First day of CNY, other than my relative's house, I managed to go to Lion Ong's house with a bunch of Leo Club of Penang (City)'s members, which always used to hang out all this while, have a small gathering with all them since I am back, 'looking' at them gambling, I didn't gamble last night, just involved myself in all the laughters.. We have lotsa fun and damn! We actually tried to ignore the time which is reaching 2 in the morning! Haha!

Apart from that, I couldn't manage to go with them on a trip to Cameron and pay a visit there this coming Saturday.. I've NEVER been to Cameron yet wei.. Arghhh.. Its okay, for sure I'll find my way to go there one day!

Somehow, it's too bad because I didn't manage to go to church as well as my family because we have people paying their visits to our house.. On the other hand my aunt and uncle with their families would like us to go with them visiting our relatives.. at the end, due to a few circumstances, ended up we didn't go to church and went to visit my relatives..

By the way, I'll upload a few pics later just to satisfy myself of being too crazy enough to take a few shots of Kek Lok Si Temple with my brother Jameson after the both of us came back from Lion Ong's place.. Guess what time is it when I actually stopped by at my house, hastily grabbed my camera then rushed out from the house and went to a few spots that I could snap a good view of the temple..? It's 2.30 in the morning! LOL! Approximately 20 minutes time, then only we make our moves back to home..

My second week in 8tv...

People!!! Alright, this is my second week here and I am doing quite well, I mean, so far so GOOD...! Other than the difficulty that I have to face everyday while doing my work, but still, I have to face it with the toughest and strongest heart as well as determinations because this job is 'Not Play Play' like what people used to say.. haha! Because it's LIVE man! Quickie is LIVE! Okay, I hope to do better and better as I stay longer here with the Quickie, 8tv!!!
Sorry guys if I didn't update my blog, but for sure I will show you guys more pics and stuffs once I get back in Penang... First thing first, because I don't have a laptop and I couldn't find the nearest internet cafe here, so basically, if I want to blog, I have to use the office's computer and when I am free to blog as well.. Most of the time, we have a lot of stuffs to do.. But sometime, you can be free as well but still, it's busy!!!
I will keep you guys update soon, no worries ya...okay? LOL! But first, I have to get back to work now.. take care everyone! See you guys in CNY!

I am with the 8tv Quickie...

Hello people.. i am writing this title, using one of my senior's computer, sitting on his desk in the 8tv's office of the Quickie.. LOL! Well, I am happy to be here, doing my internship here with them after the Ultimate Prom Nite(UPN).. Today, this is my second day here with them, basically I had started my job since the first day and I did the editing with the senior as well as the live production..
So, I've to work night shift until 12am after the Quickie.. so guys, if you want to find out more on what am I doing here, stay tune on 8tv everyday from 9.30pm onwards, there will be a short one first.. then at 11.30pm or maybe sometime it will be later than 11.30pm, it's just a 15mins thingy and you should watch it, it's fun!
Somehow, you can call in to answer some simple questions and win some extremely cool prizes! Okay guys, I've do stop now, if not I might kena marah later.. haha! catch up with you guys soon, will bring more updates as well..

2 Days of Excitement...

-7th of Jan-

On this day, we did gotong-royong to clean our house and clear those stuffs which is not needed.. Me and my bro Jameson woke up early just to help my mommy and grandma so that they won't be so tired doing it.. Since we didn't help most of the time cos we have to go to school and stuffs..

Let the photos tell.. This is the thing we used to clean places where we couldn't reach with our bare hands or even with a ladder.. this is a traditional tool ya..
Here is a drawing which is 31 years old already.. woow.. I like this drawing very much.. It was drew on a piece of thick cloth and used the way of oil painting technique.. Cool! There's another 2 which are very nice too.. drew by the same artist.. Maybe will show you guys another time..

Alright, we started around 9 something then ended around 12 something.. But then of course not all are done yet.. we actually continue till 6 something then it's almost done.. On the other hand, I showered my 7 doggies as well around 2pm.. That's all for the day...

This morning, I helped my grandma fried something, guess what? 2 eggs! haha.. this is the first time I tried out this technique.. most of the time, I fried it by mixing up the york and the egg white (something like the fried egg on the left, on the right is potatoes..haha!) okay here, just to show u guys what I meant..
Evening, went out to watch a movie with friend, the movie is quite nice actually, but then if you didn't pay attention on it, then you will not flow along with the story line.. it's kinda confuse for a few parts of the story.. anyway, do watch it if you want to know more..I managed to took a few shots to let you feel the atmosphere of CNY in Gurney Plaza.. Here you go..Apart from that, on the same day, there's a Lion Dance Competition held at Gurney Plaza (New Wings).. I like to see the 'Lion' jumping around up and down, doing those hilarious and tricky moves.. but some actions are dangerous and very risky, yet it's the climax of the whole show, it's an excitement! Among all various colors of the 'Lions', I like the white one the most, it's very beautiful especially the snowy white one!

Third place, This 'Lion' is performed by girls wei.. Impressive! This is the scene when they did some interview with the champion this year.. If I am not mistaken, They are the champion for last year too!

Lion Dance is a very challenging sport and it represents Chinese's culture as well as the story behind Lion Dance during Chinese New Year..
